A day in the work

Firefighters typically work 24-hour shifts at fire stations, alternating with days off. During shifts, they maintain equipment, conduct training drills, and study building layouts and emergency procedures. When calls come in, they respond immediately to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, or other crises. Between emergency responses, firefighters clean equipment, perform routine inspections, and prepare meals at the station.
