A day in the work

A typical week involves reading blueprints and technical specifications, then laying out patterns on raw materials. Patternmakers operate machinery to cut and shape metal or plastic components to exact dimensions, checking measurements frequently. They fit separate pieces together, test alignments, and make adjustments as needed. Assembly work continues as they fasten parts using fasteners or adhesives. Quality inspection happens throughout the process to ensure patterns meet specifications before delivery to the foundry floor.
