A day in the work

A set designer might spend Monday researching historical architecture for a period drama, then meet with the director and cinematographer to discuss visual concepts. Tuesday could involve sketching design layouts and sourcing materials. Wednesday brings a site visit to the production venue to measure spaces. By week's end, the designer refines construction drawings, communicates with builders and painters, and reviews budget allocations to ensure designs stay feasible and on schedule.
