A classical musician might spend mornings practicing technique, afternoons in ensemble rehearsals, and evenings performing at concert halls. A session musician records different songs in a studio across multiple sessions. Performers often travel between venues, spend time promoting their work, and manage business aspects of their career including booking and contracts.
